Prom Update

A good time was had by all.

SBC & date looked amazing. Ate calamari at Spanish restaurant with friends beforehand. Safely home by dawn with a sack of random prom favors: drinking glass with "Springtime in Paris" imprint (the only sign that this was the theme), a star-shaped tin of mints. shaving cream (?), and a Live-Strong-esque bracelet that says "Prom" (!) Rented tux returned without a hitch.

A grateful mother and father relax.

Jan, You know how happy this makes me. My quirky kid was elected by his classmates as student council representative this year. I tried not to look shocked when he told me. Tonight he started his own entertainment company -- specializing in short films and animation -- with two projects currently underway. I get to star in one and help with the screenplay for the other. Hooray for quirky kids.

I'm really glad for you, Jan. My SBC's prom didn't go as well, she had come down sick the night before. Today she's missing Senior Skip Day. So I'm glad your end-of-year is going better!

This was the same theme for my daughter's middle school spring dance. The best part of it is that she will actually be in Paris this Thursday traveling with her grandmother.

I'm glad your SBC had a great time, but I have to show my ignorance here a bit...what is an SBC?

David - I don't use my kids names in my blog. This is one of my kid's blog name.
