Thick Skin, Delicate Veins

I'm writing (via HH) on location from a lovely hospital room where my staph infection is being introduced to new and better antibiotics. (If only cellulite treatment were this easy.)

There are four other staph infection patients on this floor, so I can't claim any originality or edginess. This is, apparently, as common as the cold these days.

I'm told I have thick skin and delicate veins. (If only they knew.)

Will write more after I'm back home.

i'm so sorry to hear you've landed in the hospital, but i did laugh out loud at your parentheses.

i hope you've got some to visit you for prayers as you've undoubtedly done for so many before. wish i could.

Poor you - another friend with cellulitus was also hospitalised (actually, from the word go) so I'm not too startled but very sorry you've this to deal with, just when you want to be engaging with soooo much else.
Love and prayers from here too, of course.

Jan,
at least you've kept your sense of humor! Don't worry you're not the only one--I had a horrible staff infection in February. But miraculously they fixed me. Would love to bring you some sweets so let me know when they clear you from containment :)

I'm so sorry to hear this, Jan. What a difficult time of year for a pastor to be out of commission!

Blessings and prayers for swift and complete healing.

You made me laugh from your hospital bed, so you're pretty amazing. But we already knew that. Get better. Let's all give drugs a big cheer! Ruth PS I am a failure at establishing a Google account. Complete and utter failure despite repeated attempts.

oh, prayers for you.
I have scary thoughts when someone says "staph" but I'll try not to give in to them.
