I'm writing (via HH) on location from a lovely hospital room where my staph infection is being introduced to new and better antibiotics. (If only cellulite treatment were this easy.)
There are four other staph infection patients on this floor, so I can't claim any originality or edginess. This is, apparently, as common as the cold these days.
I'm told I have thick skin and delicate veins. (If only they knew.)
Will write more after I'm back home.

Oh, dear friend. So sorry to hear about this. Love and prayers to you.
i'm so sorry to hear you've landed in the hospital, but i did laugh out loud at your parentheses.
i hope you've got some to visit you for prayers as you've undoubtedly done for so many before. wish i could.
Bless you, I hope you'll be better soon!
Prayers for you, friend!
Pax, C.

"I'm told I have thick skin and delicate veins."
So, a doctor was trying to hit on you? ;)
Prayers for your speedy recovery.
Prayers coming your way from here too. Serena
Praying for a speedy recovery.
Poor you - another friend with cellulitus was also hospitalised (actually, from the word go) so I'm not too startled but very sorry you've this to deal with, just when you want to be engaging with soooo much else.
Love and prayers from here too, of course.
Jan,
at least you've kept your sense of humor! Don't worry you're not the only one--I had a horrible staff infection in February. But miraculously they fixed me. Would love to bring you some sweets so let me know when they clear you from containment :)
i'll add my prayers to the mix.
Wish I was in VA so I could come make a visit and brighten your hospital stay. Lots of thoughts and prayers for your speedy recovery!
I'm so sorry to hear this, Jan. What a difficult time of year for a pastor to be out of commission!
Blessings and prayers for swift and complete healing.
Jan, I hope you recover swiftly! My prayers, along with the rest of your Roundtable friends, are with you. Blessings, Mary Jane
Sighing, praying, hoping you'll be on the mend soon!!!!
Love and prayers to you
Yikes!! Jan!
I'll pray you're on the mend soon.
Jan - Will keep you in our prayers. Do you or your family need anything? We are close and would be happy to help!
You made me laugh from your hospital bed, so you're pretty amazing. But we already knew that. Get better. Let's all give drugs a big cheer! Ruth PS I am a failure at establishing a Google account. Complete and utter failure despite repeated attempts.
oh, prayers for you.
I have scary thoughts when someone says "staph" but I'll try not to give in to them.
So sorry to hear you are in the hospital. Let the Klingensmith/Taylors know if you need anything. Our prayers are with you.
Sending prayers your way for a quick recovery. God's peace be with you.
Hope they assigned you a nurse who's skilled with those delicate veins!
I'm so sorry you landed in the hospital! You are in my prayers, and you have prayed for me so many times.
Healing mercies, and thanks for your pastoral care help last week.
